Madrid, February 18th, 2013.- Fénix Directo, pioneer company selling car insurance by
telephone and internet, is one of the sponsors of the 2013 Internet Day, which will be held on
May 17th.

This initiative was born in 2005 driven by the Internet Users Association (www.aui.es) with
the aim to show the possibilities offered by new technologies for society.

To Fénix Directo, Internet is an indispensable tool to work, because it enables a close
relationship with its clients. During many years, Fénix Directo has organized activities related
to the Internet Day. In 2012, it decided to go beyond that and become a sponsor of the event.

Fénix Directo has a strong presence in Internet. From its corporate website
(https://www.fenixdirecto.com) anyone can calculate the price of a car, motorcycle or moped
insurance and clients can have access to their private online area. Moreover, from the
corporate website users can have access to the social networks in which the company is
present: Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and YouTube. Recently, this last social network has
added Fénix Directo to its ‘success stories’ site.

Accessibility and communication channels are important elements for the company. That is
why Fénix Directo has developed an application for devices with iOS operating system
(iPhone, iPad) and for smartphones with Android operating system (HTC, LG, Samsung,
etc.). This free app offers various advantages to users, such as the possibility to calculate the
price of an insurance product in less than 3 minutes or the possibility to locate a repair shop
using a geolocator.

The Internet Day
The Internet Day (www.diadeinternet.org) is an initiative of the Internet Users Association. It
is held on May 17th, the same day that the World Day of Information Society and the World
Telecommunications Day are celebrated. This is an event that seeks to highlight the
possibilities offered by new technologies to improve the living standards of citizens.

In this 2013 edition, the focus of the event will be “The role of Internet and New Technologies
in our society”. During the event there will be discussions about the importance of Internet in
every area: culture, society, economy, education, health, sport and public administration.

Many activities will be organized on May 17th: a Mobile Photo Competition, a School Contest,
a Charity Auction and the XV Internet Awards. These prizes recognize the best initiatives,
people and institutions for their contribution, dissemination or good use of the Internet and
new technologies. This year the awards will become more social to highlight that Internet is
gaining importance as a driver of change in all areas of our society.
