5. Detailed measures for Solvency 2
 Implementing measures will precise how the Solvency
2 regime will be applied
 Public consultations will take place from April 2014
 the European Commission has specifically indicated to
the industry that only a few matters will be under
discussions
 Draft delegated acts will be sent to the European
Parliament and Council in July 2014 for their approval.

6. Expert Group on the European
insurance contract law
 Last meeting of the Expert Group on the European insurance
contract law took place on 23-24 January, publication
expected in February/ March 2014
 The group concluded that large risks rarely encounter
obstacles arising from differences in contract law
 Report will contain sections on liability, life and motor and will
deal with possible obstacles to cross-border insurance
provision arising from contract law
