 Silicon Valley Bank Closed by Regulators, FDIC Takes Control.
 SVB is a Santa Clara-based bank that lends money to and takes deposits from Silicon Valley tech startups.
 Regulators have now shut SVB Financial Group and have taken control of the bank's deposits.
Why did SVB's stock price crash?
 Federal Reserve's aggressive interest-rate hikes as it bids to crush soaring inflation in the US.
 Startups find it more difficult to access funding with borrowings turning costlier – and that's fueled a high
level of deposit outflows from SVB

5. Axis Mutual Fund launches Axis S&P BSE Sensex ETF

 Axis Mutual Fund has announced the launch of their New Fund Offer of Axis S&P BSE Sensex ETF, an
open-ended Exchange Traded Fund tracking S&P BSE Sensex TRI.
 Ashish Naik will manage the fund.
 The new fund will track the S&P BSE Sensex TRI benchmark and endeavor to generate alpha by investing
in domestic equity ETFs based on the fund manager’s top-down investment view.
 The New Fund Offer (NFO) is open for subscription and will close on March 15

6. UTI Mutual Fund launches UTI Long Duration Fund

• UTI Mutual Fund (UTI) has launched UTI Long Duration Fund, an open-ended debt scheme that will invest in
debt and money market instruments with the portfolio Macaulay Duration is above seven years.
• The scheme will have a relatively high interest rate risk and relatively low credit risk.
• The New Fund Offer (NFO) is open for subscription and will close on March 15.
• The scheme will offer Regular Plan and Direct Plan – with Growth and IDCW options. The scheme will be
benchmarked against CRISIL Long Duration Fund AIII Index.

introduced a new feature in the SWP facility called
Motilal Oswal Fixed Amount Benefit (FAB) plan.

• Through the launch of this new feature, the AMC envisions empowering investors with more control in
planning their long-term financial goals and lifestyle choices thereafter.
• FAB will accomplish this by offering a product to investors that is easy to enrol in, offers a completely
digitized dashboard, & provides a detailed calculator for customizing their cash flow requirements.
• This new feature will enable investors to withdraw the regular sum of their investments at a fixed
percentage and predefined frequency of their original investments, irrespective of the movement in the
market value of their investments.
• Under FAB, the investor can start with a minimum withdrawal amount of ₹500 per month or above
depending on their cash flow requirement. The frequency can be marked as Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually.
• Motilal AMC has kept the withdrawal rate at 6% as default which investors can change to choose from
either 8%, 10%, or 12% per annum
