The document proposes the development of a fully automated greenhouse system using Raspberry Pi to control sensors and automation. It aims to produce pesticide-free fruits and vegetables in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The system was tested growing strawberries with positive results, showing increased yields from precision environmental control including temperature, humidity, CO2 and moisture levels. The automated greenhouse could produce up to a metric ton of tomatoes per season in a small 2.5x3m space with 40m2 of growing area. Future work involves building a 1:1 prototype and starting a business to commercialize the system.

4. Problem
The quality of vegetables and fruit bought at
the store is rapidly decreasing
The better quality products contain a lot
pesticide residue
This annoys a lot of people
It can be dangerous
5. The Solution
Creating a fully automatic greenhouse, that complies with the following
principles:
It shall be based on the Raspberry Pi
It shall be cost-efficient
It shall be easy to use
It shall be modular
It shall be controllable from any internet-connected device

The properties of photosynthesis IN C3 plants
It is blocked by the presence of oxygen
25 ºC is the optimal temperature
It only uses CO2 at night
The optimal level is 800-1600 ppm
The plants only need 50-60% of the sunlight getting to them through an average
greenhouse wall
Staircase-style arrangement is not needed ► more income can be achieved by using a shelf-
style arrangement
14. The Features
Pesticide free plant production made easy
Automatic temperature control(Heating, Ventilation)
Vegetation heating ► Dry plants ► No Infections
Precision Soil Moisture control(Micro drip system)
Automatic CO2 injection
Built in weather station
Shelf-style arrangement ► 40m2 of effective farming area
Up to a metric ton of tomatoes per season
All in a 2,5x3m greenhouse
