The Four Diamonds Mini-THON program inspires, empowers and activates youth and young adults in the fight against pediatric cancer. Four Diamonds Mini-THON's are dance marathons held at high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools that teach student-leaders how to run large events and give back to the community. Students are able to apply classroom curriculum to real life applications by developing management skills by overseeing volunteers, marketing and public relation skills by promoting their events, communication skills through writing and public speaking, math and accounting skills by managing event finances, and many other qualities that will help them be better leaders now and in the future. Four Diamonds Mini-THON's promotes civic and community engagement, increases school spirit and brings students and faculty together to work on a common goal. To find out how you can start a Four Diamonds Mini-THON at your school contact minithoninfo@hmc.psu.edu. The mission of the Four Diamonds Fund is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research.
