Histoires bibliques: Louange et action de grâces - Bible Stories Praise and Thanksgiving
1.
2. Thanking God for His Goodness
David was the greatest king of ancient Israel. He wrote many of the songs of praise that
constitute the largest book of the Bible, the book of Psalms. He said:
I will praise the LORD at all times. I will
constantly speak his praises. Let
everything that breathes sing praises
to the LORD! (Psalm 34:1, 150:6, NLT)
temps. Que ma bouche ne cesse pas de
le louer ! Que tout ce qui respire
acclame le Seigneur ! Alléluia, vive le
Seigneur ! (Psaumes 34:1, 150:6)
3. Jesus Heals Ten Lepers
As Jesus entered a village one day, ten men with leprosy approached him. These men stood
at a distance and called out to Jesus. “Jesus, have mercy on us!”
Jésus guérit dix
lépreux
Un jour, Jésus
entrait dans un
village quand dix
lépreux vinrent à
sa rencontre. Ils
se tinrent à
distance et se
mirent à crier : «
Jésus, aie pitié de
nous ! »
4. Jesus saw them and told
them, “Go, show yourselves
to the priest.”
Jésus les vit et leur dit :
« Allez vous faire examiner
par les prêtres. »
5. The men obeyed and as they went, they were healed!
Ils obéirent et pendant qu'ils y allaient, ils furent guéris!
6. One man, when he saw he was healed, turned back. He knelt at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.
Jesus then asked “Weren’t ten healed? Where are the others? Has no one else returned to
thank God except this man?”
L'un d'entre eux, quand il
vit qu'il était guéri, revint
sur ses pas. Il se jeta aux
pieds de Jésus et le
remercia.
Jésus dit alors : « Tous les
dix ont été guéris, n'est-ce
pas ? Où sont les neuf
autres ? Personne n'a-t-il
pensé à revenir pour
remercier Dieu, sinon cet
homme ? »
7. God doesn’t mind our taking
all that He has for us, but in
return He looks for our
thanks and appreciation. He
wants us to acknowledge
that we are pleased with all
the gifts that He has given us
and how He takes care of us
so well!
Dieu est heureux de nous
donner tout ce qu’Il a pour
nous, mais en retour, Il
s’attend à ce que nous Lui
disions merci et que nous
Lui témoignions notre
reconnaissance. Il désire que
nous Lui fassions savoir que
Ses dons nous font plaisir, et
que nous sommes heureux
qu’Il prenne aussi bien soin
de nous.
8. The Secret of Contentment
The Apostle Paul suffered plenty. He had been beaten and imprisoned. He was whipped
and stoned. Having gone through all that, you’d think that he’d have reason to complain.
Le secret du
contentement
L’apôtre Paul beaucoup
souffert. Il avait été
battu et emprisonné. Il
été fouetté et lapidé. Si
quelqu’un était en droit
de se plaindre, c’était
bien lui.
9. But Paul said, “I have learned
how to be content with
whatever I have. I know how
to live on almost nothing or
with everything. For I can do
everything through Christ,
who gives me strength.”
(Philippians 4:11-13)
Bien au contraire, Paul a déclaré
: « J’ai appris en toutes
circonstances à être content
avec ce que j’ai. Je sais vivre
dans le dénuement. Je sais aussi
vivre dans l’abondance.
Je peux tout, grâce à Christ qui
me fortifie. » (Philippiens 4:11-
13)
