22. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? At the start of the year we did a preliminary task where we had to film someone walking through a door. We had to show that we could use continuity - this means that we had to keep everything the same and couldn't edit it or make any changes to it. The preliminary task video that we filmed was not great. It contained lots of camera shake as we didn’t use a tripod. We also used the zoom feature on the camera and went all the way from a wide shot to a close up. This looked terrible when we watched it back on a larger screen. In our final project we were allowed to fully edit it and use as many shots as were needed. We learnt from our mistakes in the preliminary task and used a tripod to get a steady shot with no camera shake. We also moved the camera rather than the zoom to get closer to the actors. This made our final project look much better than our preliminary task
