9. Current work: validating the diabetes model
•Currently gathering type 1 and type 2 data
•84 patients, 47 timepoints, 180 mL blood
•Type 2 divided in 6 classes

11. Take home messages
We are developing E-DES:
•a scientifically validated educational simulator for patients with diabetes type 1 and 2
•it models different meals and can be individualized
•it distinguishes different groups of diabetes type 2 patients, rather than treating them as 1
•it will become freely available
We are still looking for partners to further develop the user interface!
