prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of
Christ:

• The 5-fold ministry is also a 5-fold gift for the local often
displayed in the set leader of the house.
• These gifts are key to the church’s ability to fulfil the Great
Commission.
Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led
captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
• If the church does not have;
- an Apostle there must till be apostolic order.
- a Prophet there must still be prophetic leading for the church
- a Pastor?? - Then sheep will be scattered
- a Teacher there still needs to be teaching
The 5-fold ministry is key to establishing the purpose of the
church

Acts 2:42-47 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness
and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
15. The Biblical Church
The DNA of the Church Acts 2:42-47
•There are 12 KEY functions of the church found in this
passage of text.
•These functions were both personal and corporate
experiences and practices for the early church.
•These functions can also be viewed as the DNA of the
early church, therefore it’s the model for all generations.
•The church of the Kingdom must embrace the principles
and practice of this Model in order to fulfil the true vision of
the Great Commission.

The ministry ‘hallmark’ that threads through CLCW stems from the ministry of the set man of the house who as a Life Specialist Consultant has channelled his teaching portfolio into developing a curriculum of teaching and training systems for the church entitled; ‘whole life for the whole man’ As an ethos ‘whole life for the whole man’ permeates ministry life at CLCW where what you are and what you do must always count for the glory of God’s kingdom. A local church will grow by maximising on it ’s best assets which is usually found in it’s Portfolio, Plans, Programmes and Projects collectively ministry will be experienced, corporately (God) , congregationally (us) and in community (others). The vision at CLCW is: ‘building people transforming lives’ Our mission is; Evangelising, Educating, Empowering and Enterprising The church life experience of; Worship, Fellowship and Ministry
