–   Who controls the secure element?
–   How much does it cost to rent space in the wallet?
–   Who gets to provide the offered application(s)?
–   What if the merchant doesn’t support contactless cards?

Today’s consumers want more capabilities:

• monitor their account balances
• pay bills
• make returns and save receipts
