This document provides an overview of new features and enhancements in Oracle ORAchk/EXAchk version 12.2.0.1.1. Key updates include a new Oracle Health Checks Collection Manager application built on APEX 5, more flexibility for running privileged checks, support for additional platforms and engineered systems, and the ability to send emails from compute nodes. New health checks have also been added across products such as Exadata, Exalogic, and Database.

Root Checks Script
• A large number of the Oracle Stack Health Checks don’t require root access, however a
subset need to run with root privileges
• Root privilege checks run from root_orachk.sh or root_exachk.sh in the ORAchk / EXAchk
temporary directory
– $HOME by default but can be changed by setting RAT_TMPDIR
• If you want the root script in a different directory to RAT_TMPDIR use: RAT_ROOT_SH_DIR
e.g. :
