RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that billing information (AMA) is copied every morning.
Maintain, diagnose and correct problems associated with Remote Switching
Centre (RSC), Outside Plant Module (OPM/OPAC).
Examine telephone transmission facilities (RC28D Mux, CM6 Radios, SONET
Radios, T155A, XTERA, ADC, FMUX, VLX equipment) to determine faults and
apply corrective measures.
Perform routine maintenance on data equipment (Paradyne 8820, 8620 and
4200 DsLAMboxes).
Diagnose, identify and correct problems associated with customer telephones
lines.
Transporting faulty circuit packs to Kingston for repair.
Monitoring inventory of spare circuit packs and report status every Tuesday
morning.
Request support from technical service centers when on-site procedures fail to
solve installation or maintenance problems.
Analyze test equipment readings, and trouble reports to determine equipment
repair needs and required repair methods.
Testing and replacing of equipment batteries.
Wiring and testing of circuits.
Test circuits and components of malfunctioning telecommunications equipment
to isolate sources of malfunctions, using test meters, circuit diagrams, polarity
probes, and other hand tools.

Operations and maintenance of DATA equipment (8820, 8620 and 4200 internet
boxes)
Introduction to Ericsson and Nortel Base Station (mobile equipment).
Introduction to generator maintenance.
Operation and maintenance of Nortel DMS equipment.
Maintenance of transmission equipment such as FMUX, RC28D MUX, UMC,
SONET, CM6 RADIO, D448, VLX and QFLC.
Introduction to CCS7(CBT)
