24. Remember!
Recognize emotional triggers.
Become aware of what irritates you, and exercise self-control over
your behavior.
Do not respond emotionally to situations. Respond professionally.
Your behavior should show that you are always in control of yourself
and the situation.
When others see calm and control, they respond in the like.
When the words and actions of others do not force you to make bad
judgments, you are in total control.
25. “When you change the way you look at
things, the things you look at change.”
-Wayne Dyer
You have to focus on peoples strength and make them a W- winner. Utilizing their strengths will allow for solving the formula of V.
Recognize when you have a group working on the same goal (solving for V) there are different ways to get there. Identify which one works for you.
The formula 1+1+1+1+1 = V, can represent each individual coming to the table with an idea or 5 steps to solving for V.
The formula 1+2+2=V, can represent committees and an individual (2 people) + (2 People) + (1 person) = solution for V. Or it, again, can be a different way to solve how to accomplish your V (Value)
How do you get to V, what is your V? Start with this question and work toward that solution. The answer will become clear. When you focus on this goal you will be able to clearly identify when someone has the wrong formula.
When you make decisions or plans, always go back to your original goal and ask do these actions provide the value that we wanted? This can save you from becoming lost.
