SITUATION IN MEXICO
CORONAVIRUS IN THE WORLD (COVID-19)
• As of March 29, 2020, globally there have been reported 634,835 confirmed cases
(63,159 new cases) of COVID-19 and 29,957 deaths (3,464 new deaths*). Lethal
rate: 4.7%.
• In the last 14 days the number of cases new accounts for 76% (482,127) of the total
of accumulated cases.
• A new country reported cases: Mariana Islands.

Aguascalientes: Governor issues Decree creating the State Committee for
Health Safety.
Baja California: Tijuana declares sanitary emergency.
Baja California Sur: The State Health Council reported the closure of ports
and airports in the state.
Campeche: The government announced the reduction of hours for alcohol
sales.
CDMX: Head of Government presented a strategy for supporting and financing
companies during the contingency for COVID-19.
Colima: Congress approved the executive order declaring economic
measures and emerging programs to overcome the crisis.
Coahuila: Governor announced a rescue plan for hotels and restaurants.
Chihuahua: A decree was published to temporarily suspend public events.
Food producing industries should increase their sanitary filters. The operations
of the manufacture industry is maintained, as well as other essential activities.
State of Mexico: The Governor announced measures to support the family
economy, self-employment, and SME’s.
Nuevo Leon: The Governor announced the creation of a fund of one billion
pesos, to face a possible health emergency due to COVID-19.
Puebla: The Ministry of Tourism presented an action plan to keep tourism
active. It was announced the campaign “Don’t cancel your trip, reschedule it!”.
The Government announced the suspension of activities in casinos, nightclubs,
bars, discos, cabarets, entertainment centers, exhibitions, auditoriums,
stadiums, among others.
Sonora: It was published and Agreement where alcohol sales are prohibited
temporarily.
Durango: Governor met with representatives of business chambers to work on
a contingency plan to mitigate the effects of COVID-19.
Guanajuato: Announced that the operating rules to support the productive
sector will be published on Monday, March 30.
Hidalgo: In Pachuca, health filters will be operating at bars and restaurants.

SITUATION IN MEXICO
Oaxaca: Governor suspended activities at bars and nightclubs in all the state as
of March 25.
Jalisco: The governor mentioned that the contingency measures will continue
until Sunday, March 29.
Michoacan: Governor announced a package for economic rescue.
Morelos: An agreement was published where activities are temporarily
suspended where there’s people concentrations or crowds.
Queretaro: The Queretaro authorities, in collaboration with State Health
Secretary, prepared an agreement to sanction those who do not comply with
the preventive measures against the COVID-19.
Quintana Roo: Governor requested to owners of bars and restaurants to close
in the following weeks.
Tamaulipas: The government is preparing a package to help companies
through tax incentives.
Tlaxcala: The governor called the 60 Mayors of the State to suspend crowed
events.
San Luis Potosi: Governor announced a financial and fiscal package for over
3,200 million pesos. The extension of ISN payment and lodging tax is
highlighted.
Veracruz: The state government suspended all fiscal debts until June of this
year due to the coming economic crisis.
Yucatan: Alcohol sales suspension and taxes discounts were implemented in
various municipalities of the state.
Zacatecas: Congress activities are suspended until April 20.

COVID-19 SITUATION IN MEXICO MEASURES TAKEN BY STATES IN MEXICO OFFICIAL SOURCES: WHO and Mexican Minister of Health Aguascalientes: Governor issues Decree creating the State Committee for Health Safety. Baja California: Tijuana declares sanitary emergency. Baja California Sur: The State Health Council reported the closure of ports and airports in the state. Campeche: The government announced the reduction of hours for alcohol sales. CDMX: Head of Government presented a strategy for supporting and financing companies during the contingency for COVID-19. Colima: Congress approved the executive order declaring economic measures and emerging programs to overcome the crisis. Coahuila: Governor announced a rescue plan for hotels and restaurants. Chihuahua: A decree was published to temporarily suspend public events. Food producing industries should increase their sanitary filters. The operations of the manufacture industry is maintained, as well as other essential activities. State of Mexico: The Governor announced measures to support the family economy, self-employment, and SME’s. Nuevo Leon: The Governor announced the creation of a fund of one billion pesos, to face a possible health emergency due to COVID-19.   • 5. COVID-19 SITUATION IN MEXICO Oaxaca: Governor suspended activities at bars and nightclubs in all the state as of March 25. Jalisco: The governor mentioned that the contingency measures will continue until Sunday, March 29. Michoacan: Governor announced a package for economic rescue. Morelos: An agreement was published where activities are temporarily suspended where there’s people concentrations or crowds. Queretaro: The Queretaro authorities, in collaboration with State Health Secretary, prepared an agreement to sanction those who do not comply with the preventive measures against the COVID-19. Quintana Roo: Governor requested to owners of bars and restaurants to close in the following weeks. Tamaulipas: The government is preparing a package to help companies through tax incentives. Tlaxcala: The governor called the 60 Mayors of the State to suspend crowed events. San Luis Potosi: Governor announced a financial and fiscal package for over 3,200 million pesos. The extension of ISN payment and lodging tax is highlighted. Veracruz: The state government suspended all fiscal debts until June of this year due to the coming economic crisis.
