novel and have it published

• He arrived in Ghent, Belgium
• He stayed with Philippine general Jose Alejandrino
• He wrote El Filibusterismo — ruminating on the
plight of the Filipinos at the hands of the Spaniards

martyr priests who were executed by the Spanish:
