Gina graduated as a Dental Therapist from Westmead Hospital in 1987. The Therapist program was an initiative by the Labor Government in the 1970's to make a difference to the Dental Health of Australian children. The Therapist training program has now been replaced by the degree named, Bachelor of Oral Health. Gina qualified in providing operative dentistry (fillings, extractions, local anaesthetic delivery, nerve removals), preventative dentistry (cleaning, exams and x-ray taking and reading) and dental health education to the public.
