SUB: Application for Full-Time
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am interested in the Full-Time position in the RF and Communications sectors. I came to
know about the tremendous opportunity available in my concern area through your career
site.
I graduated my Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas.
I had enrolled in Communication and RF track, with a GPA of 3.70. My anticipated time for
the completion of the degree is Dec, 2016. I firmly believe that I am apt for the position that
I have applied for the internship. I am confident in saying this because of my academic
knowledge which is required for this position. I have detailed knowledge in RF and
Microwave Design and measurements, RF Amplifiers, Antenna Theory, Digital Signal
Processing, Random Process and RF systems engineering, Digital Communication, Wireless
Communication and RF and Microwave circuits that would enormously increase my
knowledge and skills .This is the precise reason why I feel that I am apt for this position as
your firm focuses on similar areas which would give me the necessary exposure to advance
my career.
I have done few academic projects which have given me pretty good amount of experience
in the tools such as MATLAB,HFSS, FEKO, Xilinx, Cadence design tool, C/C++ compilers and
AWR.I have successfully undergone training with programming languages such as C, C++,
VHDL, Verilog and Assembly level language. I have designed components such as
Resonators, Couplers, Wilkinson Power Divider, Filters (Chebyshev, Butterworth), and
Amplifiers and measured its performance. I have designed a 2-stage LNA and measured
Stability, Gain and Noise figure. I have designed and implemented an IEEE paper of Ultra
Wide-band Planar Monopole antenna. I have designed a Power amplifier based on load pull
analysis. I have done a project in which I designed the Physical layer of a simplified OFDM
model that was used to transmit and receive data bits. I had designed a fading simulator for
the communication system which included both Gaussian noise and Rayleigh fading along
the channel. The other project which was detection of vehicle based on RF approach, which
was simulated using AWR tool. AWR tool was also used to match the impedance of
distributed networks and calculation of S parameters.
I would like the opportunity to meet with you and discuss the internship opportunities that
you are currently offering. Please feel free to contact me on 469-450-9830 or email me at
girishkumar190@gmail.com, in case you need any more details.
Thank you for your consideration
