• We are a non-profit that connects donors with
grassroots projects around the world to make a high
impact using our online fundraising platform
• We are a UK registered charity launched in 2008 with a
sister organisation in the US
• Over £35 million has now been raised for 5,000
projects across the GlobalGiving websites, and
GlobalGiving UK has a growing base of over 300,000
annual unique visitors - You can be a part of this!

• We offer more donation options for donors and also
security as all organisations have gone through
rigorous due diligence reviews
• We provide proven, practical training and access to
funding, resources and volunteers for organisations
• We also claim GiftAid for donations by UK taxpayers
and provide regular updates on project progress so
donors know how their money was used

join GlobalGiving UK?
• A: Yes, all organisations new to GlobalGiving
UK must participate in the Gateway Challenge
to earn a permanent place on the website and
and gain access to the resources. It is also a
very valuable fundraising experience as well.

• Q: How much do I have to raise?
• A: Organisations participating in the month long
Gateway Challenge are tasked with raising £2000
from 50 unique donors. These thresholds must be
met to gain a permanent place on
GlobalGiving.co.uk and to be eligible for the
bonus funds.
• Q: It sounds tough – I’m not sure we can do it?
• A: Yes you can! We are here to help you succeed
and grow your good work.

• Q: How much have previous winners raised?
• A: 84,888 GBP was raised from 2,028 donors
in our May Gateway Challenge 2014. Shivia,
the winning organisation, raised 22,305 GBP
from 387 donors plus our 2,000GBP bonus
prize. We work with you to take you from
where you are to further down your
fundraising journey. Every donation counts!

• Q: Will I receive training to assist me in
fundraising?
• A: Absolutely! Learning is key to this
programme and we will conduct weekly
seminars to provide you with help to plan your
fundraising strategy and campaign. These
sessions will take place in the four weeks
leading up to the Gateway Challenge and are
accessible to all participants.
