I am a senior at San Jose State University studying animation/illustration. The program has taught me that not only is refining your art skills essential, but that working in collaboration with other professionals is equally important. Being a member of the Shrunken Head Man Club also taught me the importance of peer support, teamwork, and camaraderie. I am also a member of the San Francisco chapter of Women in Animation, an organized group of female students and film industry professionals that come together to provide a community focused on learning, networking, and mentoring. For the past three summers, I worked for the City of Fremont, teaching art to children ages seven to fourteen..
