  3. Most people do not see value in their medical records per se – and those who should arguably be preventing from accessing themGenerate value for the patients by understanding what they really want and then add the clinical and health administration features.Never do this in the other order.
  4. Nike reigns supreme. Microsoft and Google have already fallen. The VCs and privateers are in there trying to hack out an advantage. Private practice is doing everything it can to not get slaughtered and stay out of the fray. Hospitals have mostly not even noticed that there is a battle going on – maybe because they are struggling with the guerilla warfare inside their own territory.

  12. Technology capability can provide part of the opportunity (although healthcare is the ultimate source) but what about the rest of the equation? How much attention is paid to the capability of the end-users to apply the technology and their motivation to do so?
