The manufacturing sector in India is anticipated to grow six-fold to US$ 1 trillion, by 2025. In 2014, more
mid-market companies will transition from a single plant environment to operating multiple facilities to increase
production capacity. This is also a projection for smaller to mid-sized companies.
One such company was facing a dilemma of sustaining growth and maintaining efficiency. Multiple challenges
existed due to their legacy systems. There was a dire need to automate functions and processes. PeopleWorks
seamlessly integrated and implemented their HRM solution with this client and helped them to transform their
Employee Lifecycle Management ecosystem.
WHAT WE DID
Before the PeopleWorks team met up with the client, the company was facing the following challenges:
1. A GAP analysis was conducted by the PeopleWorks
Implementation Team to identify the pain areas that could
be eased out with our broad spectrum of Human Capital
Management Solution. This was clearly communicated and
shared with the HR and Management divisions of the
organization
2. The GAPs were tallied from the client’s side, with the HR
and Management teams concurring on configuration of the
same with the HRMS
THE END RESULT
Low Employee Engagement
• There was negligible employee connect
• There were frequent strikes due to ambiguities in HR
functions and procedures
• Communication channels were insufficient. Approvals
and acknowledgements were often delayed
• Individual and collective team data such as reports,
surveys etc. were unavailable as and when required
Management Issues
• Frequent strikes were bringing production down and
escalating costs
• HR- employee ratio was skewed due to high growth
HR Issues
• Burgeoning manpower was making managing headcount
cumbersome
• Employee Resource Management was still a manual
procedure leading to mismatched data
• Manual Attendance Management and Payroll Processing
led to discrepancies during paperwork
• HR managers experienced increasing issues over multiple facilities
and multiple record keeping
• Statutory and compliance related issues existed. Lack of
adherence posed a big threat in the face of audits

The company saw a huge change after we stepped in.
1. PeopleWorks Employee Data Management module
plugged in features like reports, surveys etc., providing
data anytime, anywhere with accessible cloud based
technology. The HRD was able to make speedy analysis
and decisions. Multi location data was available at one
go
2. Payroll which took days was now done in a matter of
hours
3. Real time employee data was available 24 x 7. The HR
Team and Managers could access data and generate
actionable reports as and when required
4. PeopleWorks Broadcast Module provided ease of
communication with a single-point contact between
the organization and its employees. It presented a
comprehensive messaging channel. Delays and snags
could be broadcasted to the attending supervisors
enabling them to monitor their shifts better.
5. PeopleWorks also incorporated configurable Leave
Management System where employees could apply for
leave, track and manage it without filling forms and
having paperwork hassles
6. With PeopleWorks My World self-service portal,
policies could be defined and made available across the
organization providing much needed transparency
7. PeopleWorks Attendance Module pulls employee
attendance data and syncronizes it with payroll,
ensuring up-to-date, prompt and accurate paycheck
processing. Employees could now keep better track of
their productive hours and were better informed.
8. Statutory and compliance related issues were resolved
with necessary checklists in place
With the entire data pertaining to HR for all employees
now being consolidated and automated, the organization
was assured of error free outputs.
