1. RCE Mumbai under the aegis of RCE Delhi- Environment
Education Awareness (EEA) Area, TERI, INDIAFocus
•Educate youth on environmental issues that are in conjunction
with the existing social structure, cultural norms, economic
realities and global trends
•Implement Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
projects that incorporate formal, non-formal and informal
methods of teaching Organize environmental awareness and
capacity building programs
•Encourage young students, teachers, parents and the community
to practice the 4Rs—refuse, reuse, reduce and recycle, and to
make consumption
•Sensitize on issues related to WASH (Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene) to make peer educators thereby creating multiplier
effect to come up with school and community based solutions

ESD for the Priority Action Area 4- empowering & mobilizing youth
•Member of the International Expert Networking group on
Education for Sustainable Development called ‘ESD-Expert Net’
led by Engagement Global – Service für Entwicklungsinitiativen
(Service for Development Initiatives)
•Awarded ‘Wenhui Award for Educational Innovation (2012)’ by
UNESCO Asia Pacific Programme of Educational Innovation for
Development (APEID) and the National Commission of the
People’s Republic of China for UNESCO
