1. Thank you for your interest and attending this presentation of services. Before we
begin I'd like to explain a little about what we do. Midnight Oil does all of the tasks
listed here, but perhaps most importantly we are a business support service
company. Our goal is to provide you with any business tools that you need.
Bookkeeping, Tax Prep, Payroll, and Network Administration are the big points,
but each of these encompasses a myriad of smaller individual services which you
can select from to get a customized office service based on your company and
your needs.

2. In case you are using this guide on your own, this page explains how to navigate
this presentation. Please take your time to review the directions and click the
forward button when you are ready.

3. Bookkeeping is our primary service. Most of our other services are given in
addition to Bookkeeping. So if you are unsure of where to begin, I'd recommend
starting with Item 1: Bookkeeping.

4. Our Bookkeeping services are all-inclusive. We can take care of the process from
billing, payment receipt, sales inputting, all the way through banking and vendor
payments. The choice of how much we do, and what reports we give is entirely up
to you.

5. By getting the reports you want, for the periods, departments, and comparisons that you
want will help you make better decisions by knowing where your company needs to focus
its efforts.
Standard reports and audit trail generation will also aid in completing accurate tax returns
and making the process of any investigation of your records easier and less stressful.
If you don't already have a bookkeeping method that works for you we can build a chart of
accounts to design the layout of your financial reports.So the information you need will be
presented in a way that give you a better view of your current situation and better
information to base future decisions.

6. If you have any issue with tracking who you pay and whether it is on-time or not. If
you have issues with late fees you can even save some costs by ensuring timely
payments to vendors.
You can be sure your vendors are billing you correctly, be sure you are taking
advantage of any available discounts, and you can be sure to sleep better
knowing that your payments will be going out on-time and/or at the exact times
that you specify.

7. We can handle any of a number of aspects of Accounts Receivable. We can
create periodic statements, we can receive mailed payments, we can create
periodic invoices, and we can deposit your recorded transactions.
We can provide complete accounting of your AR balances and AR Aging so you
can be sure to know who owes you.
Our services can make sure you bill completely, record all receipts, and track all
outstanding owed money. This is a fundamental task needed to ensure that your
business can continue to function by collecting payments for products or services
rendered.

8. Cash management is a task that should be expected of any organization. Every
organization has different needs, but regardless of what they are we can verify
your cash for you.
Whether you have multiple accounts whose cash is held in a single account, or
multiple accounts with their own departmental tracking, we can be sure to
reconcile all activity accurately for whatever your cash needs.
We can also take care of managing petty cash replenishment, employee deposit
verification, and if necessary, physically deposit cash and checks.

9. Many businesses have more complex inventory situations. From just-in-time
ordering, to multi-site warehousing, to manufacturing, and any combination of
these services, we can implement an inventory method that will allow you to better
manage your assets.
While a better inventory system may not reduce shrink on its own, it will enable
you to identify the sources of loss and how to prevent them. It will also allow you to
see which items sell best and which have the best marginal returns. This will let
you maximize the efficiency of your company by focusing sales and effort into
products that have the best return on investment.

10. Every business is different. While I can prepare any of a number of reports and
graphs for your company, many times the information you really need isn't found
on normal reports. For times like that we can build reports for you that will tell you
exactly what you need to know based on your unique situation.

11. This graph illustrates a basic performance over time, and is a common graph that
business will want to see.

12. A Balance Sheet history is very important to determine the longer-term health of a
company. A strong balance sheet will indicate an ability to weather storms. Many
businesses don't have a good gauge on just how stable their asset situation is. We
can help to put that into perspective.

13. Do you ever feel like you are overly reliant on a given vendor? Do you simply want
to determine what you pay to your vendors? AP reports can tell you many things
about the people you buy from that may not be apparent without an accurate AP
accounting.

14. If you sell on commission you will likely need to have reports like this. Even if you
don't it may be good to visualize the difference in performance for your
salespeople. This info, and much more can be gleaned about your sales with
better AR accounting.

15. Who is buying on order? Who has the outstanding orders? These and many more
questions can be answered with Order Entry tools.

16. Many small businesses do not know where to begin with payroll. Many small
businesses also can get into a bit of trouble over independant contractors and
1099 reporting.
We can help by making sure that the distinction between employees and
independant contractors is clear, and we can be sure to allocate payments
correctly.
We can handle all elements of payroll processing, from paying employees, to
paying the tax deposits, to sending in tax forms and employee W-2s.

17. Bi-weekly or semi-monthly, hourly or salaried, deductions and other pays, we can
process payroll to match what ever your normal pay periods look like.
Because we act as your agent and not an outside employment service you also do
not have to pre-pay your taxes and do not have to pay any percentage fees on
payroll to cover a fee rate. No hidden fees for payroll, just employee wages,
benefits, and taxes.

18. Many businesses have variable compensation. Commissions, bonus rates, Davis
Bacon, Profit-sharing, or any method that you want can all be handled by us.
If you haven't implemented a variable compensation system, we can help design
one to properly incentivize your employees in a reasonable fashion.

19. Everyone needs to pay their taxes. We take the mess and complexity out of
paying your payroll taxes. They will get paid when they are due automatically. No
worrying about fees or penalties based on non-payment. You can rest easy
knowing there is one less tax headache for you to worry about.

20. Everyone needs their W-2s, and the government requires prompt delivery of W-2s
at the end of the year. We can ensure your employees get their W-2s on-time for
quick filing since we will already have all of the data and computations ready so we
can begin working on them as soon as the year ends.

21. Payroll can be complicated, and the questions you may want to know are as
diverse as the people who work for you. We can pull information out and give you
reports on whatever it is you may want to know.

22. Want to know what types of jobs your employees are getting paid for most? A
Task Code Activity Report will let you know what tasks your payroll dollars are
going towards

23. Want to know who is getting paid what? Compare at a glance with an employee
history report.

24. Which of your salespeople are getting the most commission pay? You will want to
make sure you are paying the most commission to employees who seem to be
providing the most benefit.

25. Sometimes you have to give money to employees for odds and ends, or non-
standard things. Keep track of who is getting these payments and for what
purposes.

26. Do you need more computer capabilities? Are you finding that your software is
insufficient for your company? We can give you as much or as little as you need to
become a more capable and efficient company when it comes to using computer
hardware and software.

27. Windows Server Networks can enable a high level of customizability and network

everything connected to your network will only be available to the machines and/or

31. Remote Access allows for any device to login to a Terminal Server and become a
network user. This will allow for much less expensive terminals as opposed to
desktop computers for your company and provide you with the freedom to access
your information from anywhere (even your tablet or phone, if desired)

32. Do your employees use Facebook or YouTube on your time? Then you may want
to take advantage of some of our services to block or restrict these types of
websites to allow for less lost work time as well as less restricted bandwidth for
business purposes

33. Everyone has to report to Uncle Sam. You might not need to pay taxes in a given
year, but you always have to report. We can file your Corporate or Partnership
return and provide any K-1s necessary.

35. Often prospective clients have a hard time evaluating our costs. While they may
seem high at first, we are generally far less expensive than hiring a single part-
time worker with limited to no experience.
