Idea Mindmap
                   Idea 1 –Minecraft

     This story will be presented in the video game
    Minecraft. This is a world where everything, from   Idea 2 – Team Fortress 2
    the grass under your feet to the clouds above, is
   made of blocks. The player is a character known as
      Steve, who fights to survive in this unfamiliar
       world, inhabited only by strange creatures.
Idea 1 - Minecraft
• The story will follow a group of characters known only as ‘miners’ or ‘explorers.’ They
  will each have names, but whether they choose to use them is still to be decided.
• Said characters will be players from the Minecraft server that I personally run. The
  server has its own story which will be the basis for my comic, and each player character
  will make an appearance.
• The world it is set in will be vast and seemingly empty, save for a few animals here and
  there. The characters cannot let their guard down, however, for in reality, it is inhabited
  by a variety of strange, hostile creatures that threaten them whenever they dare to think
  they are safe. Survival is something to be fought for in this unfamiliar environment.
• As I am not a keen drawer, the comic will not be drawn on paper. Instead, it will be
  produced with computer software. I have research several programs that I may use to
  create the comic.

The Characters
• The characters originate from the players on my self-run Minecraft server. There are
  around 6-8 regular players that will be featured as core characters. Other players that
  are not regular visitors to the server will be represented as supporting characters that
  make an occasional appearance. Each and every character will contribute to the story in
  some way; some, more than others.
• They may not go by their real names. Instead, they may choose to use their job title or
  rank as a name, i.e. a person who stands guard at night is known as simply ‘the Lookout.’
Characters, Pt. 2
                                      Character Gallery
The characters in this gallery are shown wearing what is known as a ‘skin’ – a texture that
is placed on the player character. These are fully customisable and can be freely edited
and swapped with the use of various sites. The skins shown here are not permanent and
will be changed at various points in the story. I will create my own customised skins using
an aforementioned editor to represent my characters.
