of Van Gogh’s favorites.
3. About the work
Meaning of the work
The painting was a gift to his brother Theo and his wife , Jo,
after he was informed of the birth of their son, Vincent
Willem named after the painter.
4. The painter also wanted to
capture a possible new life for
himself and his artistic future,
although as we know, the artist
died only three months after
finishing this masterpiece.
5. Connect
Spring come to Arles and influenced
by Japanese engravings, Van Gogh
painted this, to new life, to nature.
Light seems to radiate from the
painting .
Instead of revisiting the still life, it
shows white branches of almond
trees against a blue sky.
6. Personal meaning of the work
This work, in the last days of mi life, takes on a very
special meaning for important reasons, from my
renaissance feeling, wich is a current that I like very much.
7. Connect
It is special because at this moment I
am going through circumstances that
are very difficult for me to talk about
by name but in a few words, they
remind me of people who left a very
important mark on me.
The blossoming trees herald the
beginning of spring and new life.
