Scientific research suggests that while adults engage in rational thinking when facing emotional
decisions, teenagers are not ready to reason in the same way. Since the adolescent brain is not
completely developed, they lack ability to control emotions, impulses, distinguish right and wrong,
and establish cause-effect relationships in the way adults do. Quoting Dr. Yurgelun-Todd, “Good
judgment is learned, but you can’t learn it if you don’t have the necessary hardware.” This indicates
