1. Class description
- 32 students at grade 10th: 19 boys, 13 girls.
- Level: Elementary.
2. Objectives
- By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to:
+ Skill: first steps to skimming for main ideas, scanning for specific details and
guessing meaning in the text.
+ Language: use the structure “It was not until... that...” and vocabulary to
read and talk about the topic.
3. Materials
- Textbook, visual aids, handouts.
4. Anticipated problems
- T may not have enough time to teach the structure.
- Ss may find reading boring and not very enthusiast.

I. WARM-UP
Good afternoon class!
Before we move to the lesson, I will show you a short
clip contains extracts of some famous films and in your
groups, you have to write down as you see the films.
After that, the group that has the most correct answers
will be the winner.

the movie, what do we call it in Vietnamese?

Do you know their names in the movies? And what do
we call them?

Now tell me the different of these two pictures. Is the
right one moving? How do we call them?
Motion picture: ảnh động

When we order some related still pictures we have a?

Okay now I let them move, how are these two
pictures? Yes they are moving, we call it motion
Motion /mouSn/: chuyển động

Now open the book at page 133 and read through the
text, and try to do the task 1.
