- My journey in humanitarian supply chains was not straight forward. and this started from Bam …
- More than 7m were affected and approx. 2000,000 people were in need of food items immediately. Several others in need of shelter, hygiene kits and etc. So this is were the supply chain and logistics comes in. So there are some major needs and because of those needs some specific relief items have to be delivered into the hands of affected people timely.
- - Such operations have also to be cost efficient because saved money could be used to help more people or use faster transportation, like helicopters. Just for your information Every round trip of helicopter would cost nearly 12000 USD while the same shipment on the ground would cost 400USD.

- This is what researchers try to do for many years now We’ve got some results with some success and some of them without any application in the field. Why? (some avenues for future) what we need to encourage the research on that topic vey well oriented on both sides logistics side and SC side in order to improve the practitioners life
