This document summarizes a project using a collaborative robot to assist with manual tasks at CNC load/unload stations. The robot was developed through the EuRoC project to address ergonomic and error issues by performing tasks like picking, handling, inserting, and sorting of parts. The I4MS program helped by providing a goal-oriented experiment and challenges to advance the technology. Expected benefits include a reduction in human errors during CNC operations, saving an estimated 22+ million euros annually for the machine tool industry.
