15. Purpose of SG ASEAN
SG ASEAN to be held as an associated event of the Global Space Technology
Convention (GSTC) in Singapore annually
• Allows SSTA to:
– develop relationships with regional space agency decision-makers;
– position Singapore as a regional mindshare hub, boosting talent development
and long-term space programme partnerships
• Contributes to building a community of practice for ASEAN youths
interested in space
• Recommendations presented by youth at SG ASEAN would be shared by
SGAC at GSTC and at UNCOPUOS.

Over 40 Participating locations: United States,
Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Taiwan
Over 2500 participants expected globally
SSTA is appointed the organizer for the Asian
rally for Act In Space (#ActinSpace) competition
SSTA is the organizer to select Singapore teams
SG Winner will compete in Toulouse in June 2018
18. We recognize the region is an integral part of establishing joint
regional satellite initiatives, having a louder voice at global
sessions and preparing for the Rise of Asia.
A regional event that enables cross-sharing across multiple layers
for Singapore’s space ecosystem.
It’s the right time in end 2018, and we can extract a lot of value
from this.
