This document summarizes a project aimed at enhancing livelihoods of poor livestock keepers in Syria through improving fodder supply. It discusses assessing current feed availability, collecting baseline data on livestock ownership and land use, and testing options for effective fodder seed delivery systems including using contract farmers, volunteer farmers, and farmer-to-farmer dissemination. The project led to increased quality fodder seed production, better fodder production initiatives, and new institutional arrangements for seed delivery in targeted regions of Syria.
