2. 02 – 04 December 2013 | Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden, Germany
Dear colleague,
The importance of battery safety is increasing tremendously with regard to new battery chemistries and the integration of
automotive high voltage lithium ion battery systems.
The growing dangers of fire and explosion of lithium ion batteries have shown that in most cases the heat is self-generated by
the internal or external electric circuit shorting. Therefore, effective thermal control for automotive systems will be influenced by
battery management systems to prevent internal shorts.
In addition, battery pack design concepts have to be implemented to guarantee the safe and reliable operation of the lithium ion
battery.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce the Automotive Battery Safety Summit. This event will focus on optimizing automotive
batteries to improve passenger safety.
This conference has been designed for the automotive industry, with the purpose of providing valuable insight into the issues OEMs
and battery manufacturers are currently facing. By attending, you will have the chance to network with international experts and hear
about the latest developments in battery safety.
Additionally, share your expertise with leading technical experts and benefit from best practice case studies from Adam Opel,
Daimler AG, Jaguar Land Rover, SK Continental E-motion, Bosch Engineering, Behr GmbH, Johnson Controls and AVL Powertrain UK
among others at the conference!
I look forward to meeting you in Wiesbaden!
Kind regards
Dirk Sielaff
