CONSULTANCY
Support to public and private organizations in the usage European
and National grants, through grant identification, proposal
preparation (technical, financial and administrative support), project

6. Our Grants Consultancy overall approach
CIAOTECH (PNO Group) has developed a full cycle approach to support the CLIENT in all
the phases related to Grants Consultancy:
1. Analysis of CLIENT projects/interest and competences to identify grants for own
project proposals, and interesting to-be-submitted projects led by other organisations
2. Complete support to the CLIENT in the preparation of a
winning funding proposal, including the identification of
partners, proposal writing and support in financial and
administrative parts
3. Intelligence actions to identify projects of
interest of CLIENT to be submitted for grant
requests, and support provided to include the
CLIENT in such project consortium

9. Our Support Actions to SMEs
CIAOTECH carries out networking and innovation-support projects aimed at setting up
research networks, knowledge-sharing communities and favoring SMEs R&D activities:
SMART
OSMOSIS
Support Action (funded by FP7 Surface Transport Programme) aimed at
creating a network of clusters of SMEs operating in the Surface Transport, with
the objective to favor collaborative R&D projects with SMEs, Large Enterprises
and Research organizations
Support Action (funded by FP7 Security Programme) aimed at supporting SMEs
in entering the Security market, by setting up meta-clusters of SMEs and Large
Enterprises to favor joint research and development actions in Security
EUGA project : led by Microsoft, Intel and HP, it is realized in 27 Countries and
represents the largest private action aimed at stimulating SMEs innovation
through public grants, with direct connection with more than 2000 SMEs
AEROPORTAL: merge between SCRATCH and AEROSME, it is a support action
aimed at favoring the presentation of R&D project (by SMEs, Large enterprises
and RTD centers) in the Aeronautic sector under FP7 (www.aeroportal.eu)
BIOCHEM: (financed under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework
Programme (CIP)) Eco-IP Partnership for Driving Innovation in the Sector of
Bio-based Products.The BIOCHEM project supports companies, and especially
SMEs, to enter the emerging and highly promising market for bio-based
products in the chemical sector. Project co-funded by DG Enterprise
MOBIP: project aims to support the competitiveness of high growth businesses
in the mobile services sector and to strengthen their opportunities for growth
and market access, in Europe and globally.

Service aimed at supporting organisations owner of innovative technological systems and/or
with specific high-tech competences to identify sectors of applications and/or potential
partners/clients, also through the setting up of technology transfer actions

Abstraction of the technological system under study from the specific industrial sector to
define its primary and secondary functionalities (TRIZ based methodology)
Identification of promising sectors and subsector of interest where such functionalities are
specifically requested
Definition of business models for the financial sustainability of the new market identified
Launch of indirect marketing campaign (through technology transfer actions) aimed at the
