If there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of products and variants, it becomes a challenge for Sarah to zero
in on the right product/variant.
With our product finder, you can do so in minutes. Instead of browsing the catalog, simply open the product
finder and answer targeted questions that will help narrow down the matching products/variants. Based on
answers, suitable variants are suggested which can be compared easily. Sarah can be sure she is ordering the
right product.

With order summary
In order to streamline administrative processes, it is important to send email notifications for orders placed, or
inquiries submitted successfully.
With this release, besides customising the content of email (Subject/Body), a PDF summary with all details
about the order can be included as well.

A similar feature has been extended for inquiries by prospects, where users will be immediately notified after
they have submitted an inquiry. This summary can include the technical details about the customised request,
perhaps an initial offer, together with relevant product collateral, making a good starting point for the
negotiation process.

Filter Inquiries/Orders by Customer Contact
Improve deal support
Records created by customer contact users can now be found quickly using a filter. This feature has been
enabled by linking the Creator OVS to customer contact users in addition to employee users. Now, sales teams
can instantly review all past inquiries and offers tied to a single contact and respond with the most suitable
offer.

This update helps improve the overall user experience by reducing the number of clicks needed to complete
configuration across all configurable line items without navigating back to the line-item table view.
Users can opt to manually refresh the quote status to avoid triggering any BOM explosions in the middle of
configuration.

NOTICE: End of Maintenance for old config UI with 22/08 upgrade
The old UI for configurator will
be disabled by default.
With 22/05 upgrade, all end users will switch to the new configurator UI by default
Sarah is familiar with the key products needed for quotes and might not always find the product catalogue
necessary. By keying in the first three characters of a product name or ID, the system automatically displays
suggested products that lets her add to quote with just one click.
With commonly used Product Names and IDs at the back of her hand, she can now quickly and easily add
products to complete her work efficiently.

product catalogue can be bypassed.

CPQ: Customise Variant
Sales reps can save time when configuring products. Instead of starting product configuration from scratch, they
can simply pick the closest variant and fine-tune their selection to meet the unique needs of the customer.
Using existing standard variants cuts configuration time by up to 90% because it helps keep the final product
closer to standard variants. If the changes are in attributes do not impact cost/price, it further streamlines the
overall process and accelerates time-to-value.

production can be done in advance with the
remaining open to special requests on top of
variants.

on this button will add the linked KMAT, with
configuration attributes copied from the
classified product.

Quote copy to include proposal text and
zero-price items
The copy-quote function helps Sarah save time when creating similar quotes. However she was still required to
re-enter many details like price information and proposal text that were not set as default.
This enhancement would solve that, as all price information and proposal text would be copied to the new
quote. (That includes zero-value price line items!)

Object Lock Release on login
Users may edit a quote and forget to save it before exiting by closing the browser. They are then locked out from
their quotes and can’t access/modify and continue with the quoting process. This "lock" remains in place for
hours, hindering users from their time-sensitive work in the sales cycle. With this feature, the user will get a
prompt to release locks on the next login.

• This enhancement was implemented by
popular request.
• Users can pick up where they left off if their
browser crashed or they accidentally closed it
before saving. There's no need to wait hours
for the system to unlock itself.

• Boolean Setting to enable end-user to release
locks from past session. When enabled, user
is shown a prompt on login to release locks or
continue without releasing.
• Administrators have a real-time overview of
objects that are locked and can release locks
on behalf of users.

As this change will impact all customers after upgrade, we will ease into implementation with the following approach:
• Business option to enable this check for 22/05 (Off by default); Customer along with CS team will create and maintain the list
of approved domains during this time.
• After 22/08 upgrade, this check is mandatory and cannot be switched off based on current plan, so do maintain the domains
within next 3 months.
All Users
Security is a major concern for all. CPQ/CRM access should only be allowed for employee users.
This can be assured when approved domains are maintained, and only emails of those domains may have users
created and login access.

Groovy: Whitelisting Quote Attributes
With this 22/05 release, we have exposed additional fields from our Quote data model to be accessed via
groovy, to address some of the use cases described below:

• Sales Document Description (The description field can be used to concatenate key data points from account or
other custom fields of Quotes or related quotes. This way you can print all relevant information on the data set,
if it's not already available)
• Quote Name (This gives the needed flexibility to formatting quote name based on product & services)
• ERP ID (In an MTO process, in case you want to update the ERP ID, you can do so)
• Sales Document SAP Purchase Order Number (Avoid manual entry if the value is easy to calculate and set)
• External Source Primary (For flagging the primary quote for external opportunity)
Relationship Attributes
• Language (decide Quote language on create, to correctly defaults proposal text)
• Creator (to update creator to the person creating a new version)
• Currency (Default the currency of Quote)
• Sales Group (Others like Sales org, Distribution channel, Div, Sales office are already available)
• Tag (Decide the tag that needs to be assigned)

Global Cache for Master data
With this release, cache management has been improved. Master data like Currency, country, state that were
previously stored in individual user sessions, are now stored in the global cache.
Before the update, changes to master data were not reflected immediately, and user had to re-login to see
them. Now, updates to master data are reflected immediately, and users who have an active session do not
need to re-login to see these changes.

Users can now crop lengthy emails, and leave only the most relevant information from their discussions with
the customer. This helps keep the CRM free from clutter, and key information ready for immediate consumption
by other stakeholders.

• Manage emails more efficiently – simplify the
email content saved, if preferred.
• Ensures only the most relevant information
(the final handshake) is recorded for
immediate consumption.

CRM: Email auto sync and tag
Emails sent or received from a CRM contact are automatically synced in CRM. This helps auto-populate the CRM
with important e-mail conversations with customer contacts, and keeps the whole team updated on the most
recent discussions​. Every sales rep gets updated, and can pick up where the previous owner left off.

• Hassle of manually saving and organising
emails is removed.
Features
• ServiceAutoTrackEmails=1 enables this
function. Set up in the Global Settings if
desired for all users, or User Settings if only

  • 4. Commerce: Product finder If there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of products and variants, it becomes a challenge for Sarah to zero in on the right product/variant. With our product finder, you can do so in minutes. Instead of browsing the catalog, simply open the product finder and answer targeted questions that will help narrow down the matching products/variants. Based on answers, suitable variants are suggested which can be compared easily. Sarah can be sure she is ordering the right product. Commerce: Order confirmation email With order summary In order to streamline administrative processes, it is important to send email notifications for orders placed, or inquiries submitted successfully. With this release, besides customising the content of email (Subject/Body), a PDF summary with all details about the order can be included as well. This feature has been enabled by linking the Creator OVS to customer contact users in addition to employee users. Now, sales teams can instantly review all past inquiries and offers tied to a single contact and respond with the most suitable offer. Audience Benefits • Inquiries and orders created by specific contact users can be easily filtered. • This helps sales teams view all previous inquiries at a glance, and quickly strategize on the best follow up plan. Show all configurable items This update helps improve the overall user experience by reducing the number of clicks needed to complete configuration across all configurable line items without navigating back to the line-item table view. Users can opt to manually refresh the quote status to avoid triggering any BOM explosions in the middle of configuration. Audience Benefits • User interface performance optimisation. • Reduced number of clicks for a better user experience. Features • Manual refresh can be enabled for improved performance. • This should remove the last adoption blocker for moving to new config UI.   • 11. Sarah is familiar with the key products needed for quotes and might not always find the product catalogue necessary. By keying in the first three characters of a product name or ID, the system automatically displays suggested products that lets her add to quote with just one click. With commonly used Product Names and IDs at the back of her hand, she can now quickly and easily add products to complete her work efficiently. Audience Benefits • Increased efficiency for seasoned sales reps – entries can be made immediately from the quotes line item page. • Fewer clicks needed if product ID is known as product catalogue can be bypassed. Features • Dropdown of product suggestions when Product Name or ID is entered in the search bar. • Easy addition of selected product with a click of a button. Instead of starting product configuration from scratch, they can simply pick the closest variant and fine-tune their selection to meet the unique needs of the customer. Using existing standard variants cuts configuration time by up to 90% because it helps keep the final product closer to standard variants. If the changes are in attributes do not impact cost/price, it further streamlines the overall process and accelerates time-to-value. Audience Benefits • Business differentiator for manufacturers while ensuring that requests are kept close to standard variants. • Faster time-to-value – as much as 90% of production can be done in advance with the remaining open to special requests on top of variants. • Helpful starting point to begin configuration. Features • Classified products which are linked to a KMAT will have a “Configure” button; Clicking on this button will add the linked KMAT, with configuration attributes copied from the classified product.   • 13. Quote copy to include proposal text and zero-price items The copy-quote function helps Sarah save time when creating similar quotes. However she was still required to re-enter many details like price information and proposal text that were not set as default. This enhancement would solve that, as all price information and proposal text would be copied to the new quote. (That includes zero-value price line items!) Audience Benefits • Save time with copying similar value-added quotes for the next customer, requiring minimal edits. • Reduce the re-work needed when creating copies of a quote. Features • All details in price items and proposal text are copied over. • Boolean setting provided to decide if the price items with price condition=0 should be copied too (system wide setting).   • 15. Object Lock Release on login Users may edit a quote and forget to save it before exiting by closing the browser. They are then locked out from their quotes and can’t access/modify and continue with the quoting process. This "lock" remains in place for hours, hindering users from their time-sensitive work in the sales cycle. With this feature, the user will get a prompt to release locks on the next login. Audience Benefits • This enhancement was implemented by popular request. • Users can pick up where they left off if their browser crashed or they accidentally closed it before saving. There's no need to wait hours for the system to unlock itself. Features • Boolean Setting to enable end-user to release locks from past session. When enabled, user is shown a prompt on login to release locks or continue without releasing. • Administrators have a real-time overview of objects that are locked and can release locks on behalf of users.   • 17. User login & Creation for approved domains Audience Benefits • Enhanced security for CPQ/CRM, allowing only employees to login. Features • Approved domains to be maintained by Customer Success team. Additional Notes As this change will impact all customers after upgrade, we will ease into implementation with the following approach: • Business option to enable this check for 22/05 (Off by default); Customer along with CS team will create and maintain the list of approved domains during this time. • After 22/08 upgrade, this check is mandatory and cannot be switched off based on current plan, so do maintain the domains within next 3 months. All Users Security is a major concern for all. CPQ/CRM access should only be allowed for employee users. This can be assured when approved domains are maintained, and only emails of those domains may have users created and login access. No creation of users or login for unapproved domains. Groovy: Whitelisting Quote Attributes With this 22/05 release, we have exposed additional fields from our Quote data model to be accessed via groovy, to address some of the use cases described below: Audience Benefits • Additional flexibility with groovy scripts. • Fine-tune the system with help of your customer success team.   • 19. Global Cache for Master data With this release, cache management has been improved. Master data like Currency, country, state that were previously stored in individual user sessions, are now stored in the global cache. Before the update, changes to master data were not reflected immediately, and user had to re-login to see them. Now, updates to master data are reflected immediately, and users who have an active session do not need to re-login to see these changes. Audience Benefits • Improving Cache Management • Making IMC session leaner Features • Master data is stored now in a global cache instead of having it in every session. • Avoid hassle of re-login after making master data changes. • Other users will see the changes to master data without the need to re-login • Reduced memory footprint, especially noticeable where there are more concurrent users and master data values are huge.   • 20. CRM: Crop email Users can now crop lengthy emails, and leave only the most relevant information from their discussions with the customer. This helps keep the CRM free from clutter, and key information ready for immediate consumption by other stakeholders. Audience Benefits • Manage emails more efficiently – simplify the email content saved, if preferred. • Ensures only the most relevant information (the final handshake) is recorded for immediate consumption. Features • Option to crop emails while saving emails through Outlook Add-in. Additional Notes • Defaults may be set under Global Settings.   • 21. CRM: Email auto sync and tag Emails sent or received from a CRM contact are automatically synced in CRM. This helps auto-populate the CRM with important e-mail conversations with customer contacts, and keeps the whole team updated on the most recent discussions​. Every sales rep gets updated, and can pick up where the previous owner left off. Audience Benefits • All sales reps are updated and can pick up work from where previous owner left off. • Hassle of manually saving and organising emails is removed.
