If there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of products and variants, it becomes a challenge for Sarah to zero
in on the right product/variant.
With our product finder, you can do so in minutes. Instead of browsing the catalog, simply open the product
finder and answer targeted questions that will help narrow down the matching products/variants. Based on
answers, suitable variants are suggested which can be compared easily. Sarah can be sure she is ordering the
right product.

5. Commerce: Order confirmation email
With order summary
In order to streamline administrative processes, it is important to send email notifications for orders placed, or
inquiries submitted successfully.
With this release, besides customising the content of email (Subject/Body), a PDF summary with all details
about the order can be included as well.

With technical specification
A similar feature has been extended for inquiries by prospects, where users will be immediately notified after
they have submitted an inquiry. This summary can include the technical details about the customised request,
perhaps an initial offer, together with relevant product collateral, making a good starting point for the
negotiation process.

7. Filter Inquiries/Orders by Customer Contact
Improve deal support
Records created by customer contact users can now be found quickly using a filter. This feature has been
enabled by linking the Creator OVS to customer contact users in addition to employee users. Now, sales teams
can instantly review all past inquiries and offers tied to a single contact and respond with the most suitable
offer.

This update helps improve the overall user experience by reducing the number of clicks needed to complete
configuration across all configurable line items without navigating back to the line-item table view.
Users can opt to manually refresh the quote status to avoid triggering any BOM explosions in the middle of
configuration.

11. Sarah is familiar with the key products needed for quotes and might not always find the product catalogue
necessary. By keying in the first three characters of a product name or ID, the system automatically displays
suggested products that lets her add to quote with just one click.
With commonly used Product Names and IDs at the back of her hand, she can now quickly and easily add
products to complete her work efficiently.

12. CPQ: Customise Variant
Sales reps can save time when configuring products. Instead of starting product configuration from scratch, they
can simply pick the closest variant and fine-tune their selection to meet the unique needs of the customer.
Using existing standard variants cuts configuration time by up to 90% because it helps keep the final product
closer to standard variants. If the changes are in attributes do not impact cost/price, it further streamlines the
overall process and accelerates time-to-value.

13. Quote copy to include proposal text and
zero-price items
The copy-quote function helps Sarah save time when creating similar quotes. However she was still required to
re-enter many details like price information and proposal text that were not set as default.
This enhancement would solve that, as all price information and proposal text would be copied to the new
quote. (That includes zero-value price line items!)

15. Object Lock Release on login
Users may edit a quote and forget to save it before exiting by closing the browser. They are then locked out from
their quotes and can’t access/modify and continue with the quoting process. This "lock" remains in place for
hours, hindering users from their time-sensitive work in the sales cycle. With this feature, the user will get a
prompt to release locks on the next login.

• This enhancement was implemented by
popular request.
• Users can pick up where they left off if their
browser crashed or they accidentally closed it
before saving. There's no need to wait hours
for the system to unlock itself.

• Boolean Setting to enable end-user to release
locks from past session. When enabled, user

continue without releasing.
• Administrators have a real-time overview of
objects that are locked and can release locks

As this change will impact all customers after upgrade, we will ease into implementation with the following approach:
• Business option to enable this check for 22/05 (Off by default); Customer along with CS team will create and maintain the list
of approved domains during this time.
• After 22/08 upgrade, this check is mandatory and cannot be switched off based on current plan, so do maintain the domains
within next 3 months.

Security is a major concern for all. CPQ/CRM access should only be allowed for employee users.
This can be assured when approved domains are maintained, and only emails of those domains may have users
created and login access.

With this 22/05 release, we have exposed additional fields from our Quote data model to be accessed via
groovy, to address some of the use cases described below:

other custom fields of Quotes or related quotes. This way you can print all relevant information on the data set,
if it's not already available)

19. Global Cache for Master data
With this release, cache management has been improved. Master data like Currency, country, state that were
previously stored in individual user sessions, are now stored in the global cache.
Before the update, changes to master data were not reflected immediately, and user had to re-login to see
them. Now, updates to master data are reflected immediately, and users who have an active session do not
need to re-login to see these changes.

Users can now crop lengthy emails, and leave only the most relevant information from their discussions with
the customer. This helps keep the CRM free from clutter, and key information ready for immediate consumption
by other stakeholders.

21. CRM: Email auto sync and tag
Emails sent or received from a CRM contact are automatically synced in CRM. This helps auto-populate the CRM
with important e-mail conversations with customer contacts, and keeps the whole team updated on the most
recent discussions. Every sales rep gets updated, and can pick up where the previous owner left off.
