Nigerian telecommunications company Globacom Limited has launched
an educational app for primary and secondary school students. The Glo
Mobile Tutor App helps students with junior and secondary school
curricula — and helps them to prepare for examinations. The curricula is
in form of video lectures, timed mock exams, assignments, revision videos
and counselling helpdesk.
The app contains both West African and British curricula, and is endorsed
by educational bodies such as the Joint Admissions and Matriculations
Board (JAMB), the National Educational Research Development Council
(NERDC) and Federal Ministry of Communication Technology.
