5. Our Materials
Surface Mat
It is similar to CSM but is much finer. Fine fibreglass strands of various
lengths are randomly laid out and held together by a resin soluble
binder. It is a good reinforcement material for tanks used to hold chemi-
cals and other kinds of liquids.

Strand Mat

It has glass fibres laid randomly across each other and held together
by a binder. Used in hand lay-up technique, it gives in-plane material
properties to the fibreglass with isotropic.
Woven
Roving
It is used to increase the strength and stiffness of a laminate. It is
usually sandwiched between layers of fibreglass mats and is not used
as an external layer of the laminate. It has good drapeability and is
cost-effective.
Direct
Roving
It is produced by directly winding individual fibres from the bushing
without twist. This splice-free single-roving fibreglass is made of
E-glass and is suitable for textile technologies such as warping and
weaving. It is also used for construction work, industrial work, and
wind energy applications.

reinforced unsaturated polyester
resin grating. A special design process
makes sure that these gratings have
60-65% resin and immensely
strongcontinuous glass fibre. Load
distribution on the grating is taken care of by
cross bars and bearing bars to provide you
with a high-strength structure. Molded
gratings we offer are suitable for use in any
situation, including railway, water treatment
plants, construction works and chemical
industries. Vishwanath FRP or GRP gratings
are available in various resins, various
meshes, and with different types of surfaces.
They can be used as stairs, stair treads, flat
panels, closed panels, ladders, handrails and

8. Pultruded Grating
Applications
FRP is a panel with clearance fabricated through
assembly process, which adopts thermosetting
resin (Polyester, Vinyl ester, phenolic resin) and
fiberglass (roving, fabric and felt) to pultrude "I"
and "T" shape bearing bar and uses a tube or rod
as cross bar to connect.
The surfaces of pultruded grating contain
anti-skid through type, smooth type, grit type and
pattern plate type. All FRP grating is made to
meet the highest international standards. It’s the
ideal product in the corrosive environment, and
also can be applied to civil construction facilities.

1. Corrosion Resistance - Different types
of resin provide their own different anti-corro-
sion properties, which could be used in different
corrosion circumstance such as acid, alkali, salt,
organic solvent (in gas or liquid form) and the like
over a long period.
2. Fire Resistance - Our special formula
provide grating with excellent fire resistant
performance. Our FRP gratings pass ASTM
E-84 Class 1.
3. Light Weight & High Strength - The
perfect combination of the continuous E-glass
roving and thermosetting polyester resin
provide grating with light weight and high
strength and its specific gravity is only 1/4 of that
of steel, 1/3 of aluminium. Its rigidity is up to and
even exceeds that of steel. Different thickness
and mesh size bring the client more choice.
4. Safety & Anti-slip - The high modulus of
elasticity and various surfaces provided the
super anti-skid performances. Its surface could
be smooth surface, meniscus surface, grit
surface and chequer plate cover which is suita-
ble for different working places.
5. Electrical Insulating - High strength
E-glass roving and high-grade resin provides
the product super electric performance. Its
electric break strength could reach 10KV/mm.
There is no electric spark even when impact by
tools, meanwhile it is non-magnetic. FRP
Molded Grating could be used safely under the
antiknock, diamagnetic and electric resistance
environments.
6. Aging Resistance - The high-grade resin
and anti-ageing stabilizer provide grating
long-life ageing resistant performance and the
unique design makes grating excellent
self-cleanness function and keep its brightness

Material Safety : This section provides data for protection against substances hazardous to health.
Composition : Glass fibres, thermosetting plastic resin, catalysts, styrene, aluminium oxide, pigments.
Components are chemically and thermally cured and bonded together.
Hazard Identification : None by contact. Dust produced by cutting or grinding can penetrate pores and
skin causing itching. Avoid breathing dust First Aid Procedure: Skin - shower with soap and water. Eyes -
flush with sterile eye wash solution.
