2. The Problem Tree
In today’s India, the major problems faced by its citizens are a consequence of inefficient and poor leadership. A substantial
chunk of our leaders have a criminal background. To overcome this problem, we need to go back to the basics, to exercise our
only right to vote. Only by changing the stem of the problem tree, we can solve the problems, but the unfortunate part is that
this stem is very powerful and uses a lot of money and muscle power.

In the following pages analysis for MPs based on their assets has been given. A comparison of number of crorepati
MPs in 2004 & 2009 Lok Sabha shows that the number of crorepati MPs has increased by 102%. Similarly the
average wealth of a MP of Lok Sabha 2009 is 186% more than their counterparts in Lok Sabha 2004.
The above statistics is the official data, but as we all know this is only one
side of the coin. The other dark side is still unearthed and hidden from the
public eye. The fact is that many of these MP’s have millions stashed away in
various foreign banks which do not disclose information ,and that is why we
do not have any evidence against them.
Disproportionate assets is one of the main reasons plaguing our
government, because our leaders are not common men but millionaires
who fail to understand the problems faced by the Indian common man.
The sad part is ,only the rich get voted to power, again and again.

The solution to a problem undergoes a long cycle where in numerous modifications and considerations are made which becomes
the problem again. These modifications are done by the leaders in the house and are cleverly tailored to suit their needs and
wishes. What we need are self-less and educated leaders who can gauge a situation appropriately and act accordingly instead of
just satisfying their ends.

5. Voting and winning Trend
The % of votes polled for major parties clearly show that none of them got anywhere close to the 50% mark. Total voting in
the country was 58%. INC managed approx. 29 % of the votes cast which was about 17% of the registered voters. BJP
managed just 19% votes or 11%registered voters. The total electorate in the country was 71,37,76,525 and the total votes
cast were 41,71,58,432.
This shows that there is not a single party
which is favoured by the general voter but has
to cast his/her vote out of lack of options as
this gives them that little hope of improving
their lives.
What we need to do is increase the average
voting percentage in our country. This will give
us a more conclusive data as to which
party/leader is being favoured.

6. What is E-Voting?
E-Voting is an Internet Voting process which is interlinked with Adhaar card.It lets people vote from anywhere in the
world and requires basic internet connection ,webcam and a biometric scanner.
Why E-Voting?
In India it is said, “Those who do not vote are happy people". Its time to change that.
The main purpose of E-Voting is to increase the percentage of votes from the urban and more educated regions
where people due to either negligence or other constraints(geographical,time etc.) are not able to cast their votes.
What this will do is decrease the percentage of cash/caste/religion votes and increase the percentage of educated
votes. This will consequently lead to the appointment of better leaders into power.

7. How it works(Pre-requisites)
Every citizen’s Aadhar card has to be updated five times(mandatory) in his/her life and
every single piece of record for ex:criminal history, pending cases etc. to be displayed in the
central database against the given unique aadhar ID.

The candidates who are standing for the elections should delete their caste and religion. They should submit their
background details like assets, educational qualifications etc.
No candidate/party is allowed to use any advertising medium for campaigning. Platforms to convey their agenda
and ideals will be provided by govt itself . Before one month of the elections, the govt will display the necessary
info about the candidates/party in the local and national news channels. This will give the general public an
accurate idea regarding the candidates and their background.

8. How it works(Pre-requisites)
On the voting day, we just have to log onto the Election Commission website
And caste our vote. Verification points include your aadhar id, otp,retina scan, thumb print.

9. The consequences of E-voting

 Reduces economic charges

 We can overcome caste, religion ,regional problems
 No chance of rigging of elections and Booth capturing
 On non-selection of leaders, administration of IAS

10. The root of all the problems for the development of India is found to be corrupt
politicians and we people, who are not willing to excise our power of voting. The solution
is E-voting which will increase voting percentage especially of educated section. This can
lead to election of better leaders who can lead India to a better tomorrow.
