Moldova has the shape of a grape.
In the first picture is Moldova as a component part of Romania.
In the second picture is presented how Moldova’s (
Bessarabia) territory changed.
Moldova’s neighbour are Romania in the West, and Ukraine in the North, East and South. The highest point in the country is Balanesti - 432 m. The one of the greatest cave in the Europe in located in Criva, in the north of the country.
Moldova is located between two rivers, Prut and Dnjestr.
Chisinau is the capital of Moldova, at the entrance in the city there are gates (see the picture upper right corner) Chisinau is a very green city. Also, in the center there is an Arch de Triumph as it is in Bucharest and Paris.
