the project requirements.”

“A project is a one-time undertaking that
will result in a new product, event, or
way of doing things. It will have a defined
start and finish (…). Effective project
management is needed to guide any type
of change.”

6. In general…
A project is a unique, transient endeavour, undertaken to achieve planned
objectives, which could be defined in terms of outputs, outcomes or
benefits. A project is usually deemed to be a success if it achieves the
objectives according to their acceptance criteria, within an agreed timescale
and budget.

1. Initiation
 Determine the project and develop a broad plan
2. Planning and design
 Create a more detailed project plan
3. Execution
 Putting the plan to action
4. Monitoring and controlling
 (ongoing) monitor the project, identify and correct issues
5. Completion
 Evaluation of the projects and filing of documentation
