6. In general…
A project is a unique, transient endeavour, undertaken to achieve planned
objectives, which could be defined in terms of outputs, outcomes or
benefits. A project is usually deemed to be a success if it achieves the
objectives according to their acceptance criteria, within an agreed timescale
and budget.

1. Initiation
Determine the project and develop a broad plan
2. Planning and design
Create a more detailed project plan
3. Execution
Putting the plan to action
4. Monitoring and controlling
(ongoing) monitor the project, identify and correct issues
5. Completion
Evaluation of the projects and filing of documentation
