3. I would like to express my gratitude towards my Social Science
Teacher Ms. XYZ and my Principal ma’am Ms.
X and my friends who guided me for the same. This
Project helped me learn about one of the concerned topic i.e
Sustainable Development and its various aspects.
6. Inter relation of sustainable and
human development
Sustainable Development
Index (SDI) measures the
ecological efficiency of
human development,
recognizing that development
must be achieved within
planetary boundaries. It was
created to update the Human
Development Index (HDI) for
the ecological realities of the
Anthropocene.
9. The Earth Summit
The Earth Summit, 1992: This was
a direct consequence of
the Brundtland Commission’s
Report. It was held in Rio de
Janeiro. The results of the
Conference were the following
documents:
• The Framework Convention
on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
• The Convention on
Biological Diversity
• The Statement on Forest
Principles
• The Rio Declaration
• Agenda 21
10. Global Tiger Forum
The Global Tiger Forum (GTF), in
partnership with the Governments of
Bhutan, India and Nepal, and along with
the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF),

12. Socio Economic factors are most
Responsible for obstacles in path of
Sustainable development. For eg –
Industrial waste and religious idols deposited in
the Holy river Ganga create a lot of water
pollution and are threat for marine life. Fights between
countries for small reasons is also a big obstacle in the
path of Sustainable Development as well as for world
peace and harmony. Various other pollutions and
damages caused to the environment are affecting
sustainable development adverse manner. Strict
Actions should be taken in order to ensure a better
future.

14. How do human development and sustainable development go hand in hand ?
Human development and Sustainable development go hand in hand. Development in
environment friendly and energy saving technology has always helped in Sustainable
Development. Information about some new technologies has been attached below :-
Rainwater Harvesting
The term 'water
harvesting' generally
refers to the collection of
rainstorm-generated
runoff from a particular
area (a catchment) in
order to provide water for
human, animal, or crop
use
Bioigass
Biogas is the mixture
of gases produced by
the breakdown of
organic matter in the
absence of oxygen
(anaerobically),
primarily consisting of
methane and carbon
dioxide.
15. Solar Energy
Solar energy is radiant light
and heat from the Sun that is
harnessed using a range of
ever-evolving technologies
such as solar heating,
photovoltaics, solar thermal e
nergy, solar architecture,
molten salt power plants and
artificial photosynthesis
WtE technology is
an energy recovery process
that converts chemicals
from waste residues into
practical energy like electricit
y, heat. As of now, thermal
conversion techniques lead
the market among WtE
technologies.
Waste to Energy
17. On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for
