1. Gut Biomes – The Origins of Immunity?
An Osteopathic perspective on the role of the gut in obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, anxiety
and depression. This course will help you:
Gain a historical perspective on gut research and review current understanding of gut led auto
immune and metabolic dysfunction
Give you an anatomical review of the gut and its neural and vascular supplies
The opportunity to practically explore functional, visceral, cranial and biodynamic approaches
to the treatment of the gut
Some experience of working with Osteopathy in the Cranial Field or the Biodynamic Approach would
be helpful, but not essential.
MARY BOLINGBROKE – graduated from the BSO in 1992 and has worked alongside Stuart Korth at
the OCC. She has also completed 9 Biodynamic osteopathic phases under Dr Jim Jealous. She is an
accomplished lecturer who delivers clear and well researched material relevant to your clinical setting.
She has taught at the BSO, and continues to teach at the Bio Basics Introduction to Biodynamics and
with Ian Wright on his paediatric course in Ireland.

Arlington Baths is owned and run by members for members, this
community club is the oldest of its kind in the world. Run on a not-for-profit
basis, the 'A' listed historic Victorian bathing complex houses a 21 metre
skylit swimmingpool, a unique Turkish suite, saunas, steam room, hot tub.
They have kindly offered us free guest passes to use, which will be valid
for 3 months. PLEASE NOTE that there is metered parking outside the
venue but free on-street parking on the other side of Woodlands Road at
the weekend.
