Background Information:
− Regarding to the group: Students have a 45 minutes English class per week on Thursday from
9:15am to 10am. The group is pretty talkactive but so motivated and participative towards
english leassons.
The group consists of 22 students, two of them with autism always accompanied by the special
education teacher in the class.
− Regarding to the lesson: Animals come in many shapes, sizes and colours, inhabit different
places, and live in different ways. Both topics (colours and animals) are important to discover the
world around the children.
They already know the name of the colours and animals that appears at the activities.
Learning objectives:
• To identify and name different colours.
• to identify and name diferent animals.
• To develop phoneme discrimination
• To describe using correct word order: colour + noun
• To enjoy producing animals sounds and movements.
• To develop oral, visual and motor communication.
• To linsten and enjoy the story.
• To enjoy sing and perform a song .

3. Make your own
puppet
12' Each student choose a pice of
sheet with their favorite animal
character and paint it with the
right colour like at the story. Then
the teacher will tape and stick
on it, creating a stick puppet.
