it onto the flipboard at the front of the class to create a collage. You should annotate each part with

• A) The relationship between production contexts and
films is often complex. For example Hollywood has a
studio system that revolves around media
conglomerates such as Time Warner who own Warner
Bros. There are financial determiners from various
parties. They can often work with other film companies
or countries. For example the Harry Potter Franchise is
a high concept franchise that is based in the fantasy
genre that, although set in the UK is also targeted at an
American audience. This can be seen in the renaming
of the first film in the series as the ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’
for the American market and demographic.

studios that make these sorts of films are Warners, Fox,
Paramount and Universal. These have big budgets and can
make the best films. They tends to make blockbusters that
mostly get seen in multiplex cinemas. these make the most
money so more of them get made.

big studios like Warners Bros, Fox and Universal. These film
companys tend to make big budget film’s that have a lot of CGI
and have major stars like Angelina Jolie and Jonny Depp. Film
studios like Warner Bros sometimes work in co-operation with
other companies or countries to appeal to a wider audience
For example Harry Potter is not a British film but American
because it is produced and distributed by Warner Bros
