J. Angel Menéndez Díaz is a Spanish researcher, science popularizer, and entrepreneur. He holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oviedo. He worked at Penn State University as a research assistant and has been a research scientist at INCAR-CSIC since 1997. His research focuses on carbon materials, microwave heating, and 3D printing of porous carbon materials. He has 200+ scientific publications, advised doctoral students, served on the executive committee of the Spanish Carbon Group (GEC) from 2003 to 2011, and co-founded Xerolutions Ltd (2011-2019).
