• Started to work with Exxon in 1975 as an
engineer but slowly climbed the ranks
• In 1989 he became general Manager of EUSA’s
Central Prod. Division
• Responsible for a large amount of gas and oil
prod. In Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, & Arkansas
• In 2001, he became President of Exxon Mobil
Corporation; and in 2006, he became CEO
following the retirement of Lee Raymond.
