 “Christology” is derived from two Greek
words
 a. Christos meaning “Christ”
 b. logos meaning “word, reason, study of”

 “Christology” is the biblical study of the
Person of Jesus Christ.
 In the first study, we’ll cover the various
theological aspects of JESUS deity claims - at
the light of biblical evidences.

 Was JESUS the first Creation of GOD?
1. Paul writes this letter to Colossians to expose a heresy and
false doctrine of Gnosticism, that; among other thing said
that JESUS was a created being. So when Paul says that JESUS
was the First born of all creation he means that JESUS has
prominence in all creation, perfectly aligning verse 15 under the
context of verse 16.
2. Other wise, Paul would be saying the JESUS created Himself ???
But He had to existed before then??? What comes first the chicken
or the egg??

 Was JESUS the first Creation of GOD?
 Paul uses prótotokos instead of pro̱tóplastos

 Prótotokos = First born
 Connotations: Preeminence /Sovereignty/Priority above all!

 Pro̱tóplastos =First created
 Connotations: Equal to all creation!! - exactly what
Gnosticism teaches

Connotations: Their meaning can only be observed within their context.
