» The end-to-end performance initiative aims to help communities make optimal use of
the Janet network for network-intensive applications
» Many goals, including:
› Identify, document and share best practices
– Tuning end systems, data transfer tools, local site network engineering, …
› Raise awareness of the issues and factors
› Promote awareness of what is possible (‘high water mark’)
› Use of appropriate network/application monitoring
» An increasingly important area
› Today’s talks capture some of the key topics
