This document summarizes several projects from the JISC Greening ICT Programme meeting in March 2011. 1) The Virtually Sustainable project studies the use of videoconferencing and virtual meetings to reduce travel and carbon emissions based on 15 years of research. Surveys were conducted of university staff, travel managers, and JANET VC users to quantify the impacts. 2) The Open to Change project at the University of Oxford explores using open data and social influence to encourage altruistic punishment or pro-environmental behavior. 3) The DUALL project aims to design an ICT interface connecting building users to their electricity consumption to understand how ICT can reduce energy use.
