Jo-Michael Scheibe is a professor at the University of Southern California. Jo-Michael Scheibe teaches choral conducting and choral methods, supervises the graduate and undergraduate choral program and is also the Chair of the Thornton School of Music Department. vocal and choral music
education at California State
University at Long Beach
State, he taught high school
music at Vintage High
School in Napa, California,
and then at Huntington
Beach High School.
4. In 2008, Scheibe returned
to the University of
Southern California after a
15-year tenure as director
of Choral Studies at the
University of Miami’s Frost
School of Music.
5. Scheme has collaborated with a number of
artists. This includes choral performances
with Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras,
Salvatore Licitra, Maria Guleghina, and
Kenny Loggins.
6. Scheme became a champion
of contemporary music,
performing commissions and
new works of choral
literature. He’s helped to
launch careers of promising
young composers in the U.S.
and abroad.
