A 416 bed non-profit hospital part of a 12 hospital corporation across Michigan
Nursing Supervisor 2014-present
• Some duties of job include all bed placement throughout hospital, complaint response
from staff , patients or family members, code response, scheduling of staff for all units as
needed and adjustment for census and acuity. The go between for doctors and
administrators with issues after hours. A guidance and resource for nursing staff and all
ancillary staff to include housekeepers, maintenance, security, techs, aids and dietary
staff.
Nurse Educator 2012-2014
• Took over Critical Care Educator and helped establish training competencies for ICU,
SCU, and CCU staff on yearly bases along with developing critical care classes for new
and older staff upon entering these units.
• Assisted with developing many general nursing orientation PowerPoints for staff and
taught 5 day EKG class every month.
• Developed a CAPD PowerPoint and training plan for educators to roll out to staff
annually with skills check-off.
Nurse Manager CCU/ICU/CTU (Central telemetry unit) 2007-2012
• An 18 bed CCU and ICU that accepted all patients needing critical care placement.
Responsible for staffing, schedules, payroll, budget, education, annual employee
evaluations and orientation.
Accomplishments:
• Planned, organized, and assisted with opening a new Central telemetry unit with
budgeting, training, hiring all staff, and equipment and supplies procurement.
• Participated in the restructuring of Open Heart Surgery program based off a Cleveland
Clinics site visit which helped hospital achieve high rankings in Cardiac surgery state
wide.
• Coordinated efforts to start Hypothermia program for hospital and spread through-out
Hospital Corporation. Developed and worked with Physician’s to make policies for
implementation

grievances filed by staff from previous years.
• Assisted nursing staff in the care of complex patients; served as preceptor for nursing
students from area colleges by scheduling classes for them on LUCAS and Hypothermia
care.

• Critical care nurse contracted to help fill shortage of experienced open heart, IABP

Flight Nurse/ER Nurse -fulltime 2004-2007
Flight nurse responsible for all care of patients from scene or hospital setting to destination.
Performed many tasks to include intubation, vent management, drug administration per protocols
and medical director approval. Also worked one day a week in Emergency room as staff nurse
taking care of all patients and split rest of full time schedule on flight crew.

Served as practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher for surgical trauma in this 500+
